AVAware's team of developers are pleased to announce the latest version of AVAproject. Thanks to the insight and input from our ever growing customer base of leading industry distributors and manufacturers, this release will be the single most extensive update of AVAproject thus far!

This entire package has been re-engineered providing even better performance, and given a completely fresh and updated "look and feel".

Updated Catalog Notification
Auto Update

The second phase of the auto-update system is now live. While the software still checks for application updates, there is now notification of updated Catalog files as well as the automatic download and installation of new Subscription files.

Internal PDF Reader

Subscribers who enjoy the convenience of our catalog cuts previously required a licensed installation of Adobe Acrobat. We have implemented a lightning fast internal PDF reader which eliminates the need for Adobe Acrobat. The internal reader is perfect for browsing through and printing catalog cuts. It is enabled by default, with a toggle in the Preferences dialog box (from the Tools menu) to switch between the internal reader and Acrobat.

We have also added a zoom tool to the catalog cut selection screen, providing a much larger and more readable preview of the pages. Simply click the desired page once to zoom in, and click the enlarged preview once to zoom out.

Catalog Override Form
Catalog Override

We have had many requests for the ability to manually override select data drawn from the Hardware Catalogs. We have listened. When activated via the Preferences dialog, the Hardware Product Builder displays an "Advanced" button which opens a form allowing the edits to the fields to be made.

Data that has been "overridden" via the new form will be displayed in the Hardware List and Hardware Groups in blue. To restore original data from the catalogs for the open project, simply disable the catalog override option in Preferences.

Division 10 User Hardware

Our Division 8 User Hardware catalog is favored by many of our users because it provides the ability to enter custom hardware items. We have added a Division 10 User Hardware catalog, which operates exactly the same as the Division 8 User Hardware, providing this functionality for Division 10.

Support for Division 10 Catalog Cuts has been built in, which, when using Division 10 Catalogs with partnering Catalog Cut files, functions the same way as the Division 8 Cuts. There will be an increasing number of Division 10 Cut files in the near future.

...And More!
